Surviving Morningsickness
When you start discussing pregnancies, most women will talk to you about morningsickness. This can be a troublesome condition that is usually caused by an increase in estrogen and fluctuation of hormone levels. There is nothing that anyone can ever do about morningsickness as it is a biological consequence of being an expectant mother. There are however ways that you can stave off the sickness and try to prevent yourself from ever being sick all of the time.
One way for you to be able to survive morningsickness is to try to eat smaller meals in shorter periods of time. This often works due to the fact that the digestive system is not overloaded with a large meal. If you try eating small, and healthy foods instead of large meals and see if this doesn't help the morningsickness.
Another means to survive morningsickness is to try to drink herbal teas. Instead of teas that might be loaded with caffeine, you can try herbal teas such as peppermint tea and ginger tea as they are natural combative agents that will prevent feelings of nausea. Ginger and peppermint for example have been used for thousands of years in order to fight against this condition. You can try these herbal teas in order to survive morningsickness.
Yet another way to survive morningsickness is to try to avoid caffeine. Caffeine will sometimes be able to aggravate your system and put your digestive system into over drive. By avoiding caffeine, you will then feel better and might be more easily able to stave off any of the symptoms of morningsickness.
You should also try to bring crackers with you wherever you go and eat a cracker if you feel any bout of morningsickness arising. Because you will not want to load up on any sodium intakes when you are pregnant, or at any other time, you should always try to get low fat, and salt free crackers, such as saltless saltines to eat when you are trying to quell nausea during pregnancy.
You should try to realize that morningsickness doesn't always strike in the morning, as many women usually report this problem in the evenings or even in the afternoon. In fact, some women get such severe bouts that they are sick every day, and others hardly ever notice it at all. Each woman is different as is each pregnancy.
You will probably only get morningsickness, if you do get it at all, during the first trimester of your pregnancy. Following that, your body will tend to get used to the hormone level fluctuations and you will start feeling much better.
Morningsickness is a troublesome condition that most pregnant women experience at one time or another during their nine month pregnancy. It is nothing to be alarmed about. If you find that you are very ill all of the time and cannot keep any food down at all, you should talk to your doctor. It is important that you always keep yourself hydrated when you are experiencing morningsickness as your body will easily be able to dehydrate when you find yourself vomiting from nausea.
